Advocating for you every step of the way.

Bridgeway advocates are here to offer support, safety planning, crisis intervention, and connections to resources when and where you need them most. Whether you are at the hospital, speaking with law enforcement, or looking for help after an incident, Bridgeway can walk alongside you.

Help At The Hospital

When you are at the hospital, a nurse or staff member may ask, “Do you feel safe at home?” If the answer is no, or if you are unsure, Bridgeway can help.

Bridgeway advocates are available to meet with patients in the hospital and provide support during a difficult and overwhelming moment. An advocate can talk with you privately, help you understand your options, and connect you with resources for safety and healing.

Support does not end when you leave the hospital. Bridgeway advocates can continue helping after discharge by guiding you through next steps and connecting you with ongoing services.

Help During or After a Police Response

If law enforcement responds to a domestic violence, sexual assault, or human trafficking situation, Bridgeway advocates may be available to provide support.

After the scene is safe, an advocate can meet with survivors to offer crisis support, resource referrals, and help with next steps. Advocates can also help connect survivors with Bridgeway’s 24-hour hotline and other ongoing services.

You do not have to know exactly what you need before reaching out. Bridgeway can help you talk through your situation and find support that fits where you are.

Emergency Housing

If you are experiencing abuse and need a safe place to stay, Bridgeway may be able to help you find emergency shelter or temporary housing support.

Bridgeway advocates can work with you to understand your situation, identify available shelter options, and help find a place that fits your needs. They may also be able to assist with transportation and help you navigate the shelter application process.

If immediate shelter is not available, Bridgeway may be able to help provide a temporary hotel room through the Safe Night app while working to find a longer-term safe shelter option.

Support does not end once a safe place is found. Bridgeway advocates can continue offering follow-up support, helping connect you with case managers, shelter staff, and community resources for ongoing safety and healing.
