How we work
In-Hospital Advocates
Bridgeway’s Hospital Advocate is located on-site on a full-time basis. This means advocates are available to the hospital at any time; whether it’s a quick question or more hands-on advocacy.
Identification
With an advocate on-site, hospital staff are more likely to reach out regarding questions or concerns they may have regarding their patients. Once a victim of IPV is identified, it takes only a few moments for an advocate to be by their bedside.
Follow-up
Bridgeway’s services do not stop when the patient leaves the hospital. Our advocates will be available to them for anything our clients might need after they leave the hospital. This gives hospital staff peace of mind, knowing that there will be someone guiding their patient on the next steps.
